The 35th annual international conference of EfVET—one of the most significant European events dedicated to vocational education—is currently underway in Brussels, the capital of Belgium, bringing together nearly 600 participants from over 35 countries. Georgia is represented at the conference by a 20-member delegation, which includes Shorena Uzunadze, Director of the Batumi Medical Academy, and Nona Bagratia, a specialist in international relations. Of particular note is the participation of a Georgian representative in one of the conference panels: Nona Bagratia, from the Batumi Medical Academy, presented an Erasmus+ project initiative titled "Black Sea Health Skills Hub: Transnational AI-Enabled Healthcare VET Ecosystem." This initiative focuses on fostering international cooperation in vocational healthcare education within the Black Sea region, leveraging the potential of artificial intelligence, and developing a transnational educational ecosystem. The conference was opened by Mario Nava, Director-General for Employment, Social Affairs and Inclusion at the European Commission. The event focuses specifically on the development of vocational education, the strengthening of international cooperation, and the sharing of European experience. The conference program includes thematic discussions, partnership meetings, and study visits to vocational educational institutions in Belgium. For the Batumi Medical Academy, active participation in the international educational sphere represents a significant opportunity to deepen cooperation with European partners, share best practices, and enhance the quality of vocational education.
